With the closing of my acting school back in March because of the pandemic, I have been itching to work and study and act. I felt my passion was being challenged so when I got a chance to take part to online classes, I jumped for joy.
I joined the Young Actors Space, a Los Angeles acting school. Because there was a huge time different to take into account, classes started on my time zone at 00:30 and ended at 2:30 AM. This took a bit to get used to, and I had to use tricks to keep myself awake enough to stay motivated and make the most of the classes. It was easy because I had a fantastic time in class. It worked out well and I studied with them for 2 weeks. This has been a great experience.
The class was done through Zoom. This means that we were constantly on camera. We had to find inventive ways to rehearse scenes during the class (Zoom offers the ability to split in rooms, so we could rehearse in groups), and to prepare scenes in pairs for the next lesson.
I had a fabulous time and I am grateful for this fantastic opportunity.
